About the Artist

Crondo started melting glass around 2001 — not in a studio, but in a backyard in El Cajon, California, under a pop tent, blowing glass in the dirt with a pit bull at his feet. He got his first real shop time at Puff and Stuff in San Diego's Logan Heights, where an artist named Artie handed him a VHS tape called Taboo Glass. He still watches it today.

In 2007, he flew to the Northwest on his tax return and took his first class with Jason Lee — two-poles, line work, glass tetrazing. His skills jumped fast. That same year, he attended Champs for the first time and discovered the heady side of the scene. It changed everything.

He went on to compete at Borough Knights in Seattle (2009), captain a team at the Champs Flame-Off (2010), and win People's Choice at Borough Derby (2016) alongside OG Badger Glass. From 2012 to 2016, he ran production for Glass For Me. Today he works out of his garage in Pullman, Washington under the name Crondo Glassics — selling at Pacific Northwest barter fairs and through Instagram, on his own terms.
