About the Artist

Banjo learned to build things from a man named John D Wittersheim — metalsmith, luthier, poly-sculptural bike-building maestro, and the most impactful artistic mentor Banjo ever had. John taught him guitar making, banjo making, welding, and metal sculpture. He taught him that creative problem solving was a skill first discovered through restoring and rebuilding antique Harley Davidsons. John passed in 2013. When Banjo builds glass, he's honoring what he learned from that man.

Banjo is based in the Ozarks. His glass motorcycles have become some of the most recognized pieces in heady glass.
